World Rugby appoints officials for spring women’s competitions
Barrett-Theron’s 50th test assignment features among the confirmed appointments.
Source publication date:
World Rugby confirmed match official appointments for the Women’s Six Nations, Pacific Four Series and under-21 programme. The announcement named ten referees from six unions for the two senior competitions, within a wider group of 29 officials from 12 countries.
Aimee Barrett-Theron was assigned France against Italy in Grenoble on 11 April, scheduled to be her 50th test as referee. Jess Ling and Zoe Naude received Six Nations debut appointments. Julianne Zussman and Amber McLachlan were named to return following maternity breaks.
The Six Nations programme ran from 11 April to 17 May, with Pacific Four fixtures scheduled between 11 and 25 April. An under-21 programme followed from 18 April to 10 May. These were confirmed appointments and dates announced in February, rather than results from the later matches.
