Worthing Women appointed Mayckol Sabino as assistant manager to work alongside Jesus Cordon. The Brazilian coach said he looked forward to developing both the players and the team, with a focus on individual improvement and enjoyment of football.
Sabino's playing career included several positions, beginning at left-back before moving into attacking roles. He played professionally in Portugal and a number of other countries after signing his first professional contract in Brazil.
He began coaching while still playing and later worked with university teams in Sussex and Brighton. Worthing described his training approach as focused while also competitive and enjoyable. The appointment added a coach with experience of both the men's and women's university game.
