Zagreb beach handball Championship groups are drawn
Twenty-four national teams learned their opponents for July’s senior qualification event.

The draw for the 2026 EHF Beach Handball Championship established the preliminary groups for eleven men’s teams and thirteen women’s teams. The competition will take place at Zagreb’s Jarun Sports and Recreation Centre from 9 to 12 July.
The women’s field was divided into three groups. Defending champions Hungary were drawn alongside Poland, Slovakia and Italy, while previous finalists France entered a five-team group containing Ukraine, Czechia, Serbia and Cyprus. Portugal, Sweden, Türkiye and Switzerland formed the remaining group.
The men’s tournament has two groups, with defending champions Poland placed alongside Ukraine, Türkiye, Switzerland, Cyprus and Latvia. The event also provides qualification places for the 2027 European Championship: nine for women and eight for men.
