Zeren Spor reached the women’s Champions League quarter-finals in their first European campaign by defeating Schwerin 3–0 in Ankara. The return-leg result, following a 3–1 away victory, secured a last-eight meeting with defending champions Conegliano.
The hosts won the sets 25–16, 25–18 and 25–14 in front of 1,812 spectators. A run of three points helped separate the opening set, and an early 5–0 advantage in the second kept the qualification contest under home control.
Anna Lazareva was named the match’s most valuable player with sixteen points, including three aces and three blocks. The win extended Zeren’s debut season and renewed a rivalry with Conegliano that had already developed during the group phase earlier in the competition.
