Argentina takes the continental handball title with 12 seconds left

Argentina defeated Brazil 26-25 when Federico Giménez scored with 12 seconds remaining. The result delivered Argentina's second South and Central American men's title and ended Brazil's run of 14 consecutive wins in the competition.
Chile finished third and Uruguay fourth. Argentina, Brazil, Chile and Uruguay all secured places at the 2027 IHF Men's World Championship in Germany through the six-team qualifying event.
