Egypt reaches ten African men's handball titles

Egypt beat Tunisia 37-24 in Kigali to win a fourth consecutive continental crown and draw level with Tunisia on ten titles.

The 27th African Men's Handball Championship concluded in Rwanda with Egypt defeating Tunisia 37-24. The victory completed Egypt's fourth straight continental title and brought its all-time championship total to ten.

The tournament also acted as a qualification route for the 2027 IHF Men's World Championship. Egypt, Tunisia, Cape Verde, Algeria and Angola occupied the five qualifying places in the final ranking, giving the event consequences beyond the medal matches.
