Brazil finishes five from five to win the junior handball crown
Brazil defeated Argentina 20-18 in Asunción and qualified for the 2026 IHF Women's Junior World Championship alongside Argentina and Paraguay.

Brazil won the South and Central American Women's Junior Handball Championship with a 20-18 final victory over Argentina. A seven-goal run created the decisive early separation before Argentina recovered to make the closing stages competitive.
Raquel Cardoso Brandão Ladeia scored six goals for Brazil, while Argentina goalkeeper Lola Núñez Fridmanas made 19 saves. Paraguay edged Uruguay 23-22 for bronze, and all three medal teams qualified for the 2026 junior world championship.
