Zhu Yuling doubles up in Doha as Zhou Qihao takes the men's crown
Zhu rallied past Hitomi Sato for a second title in eight days, while Zhou won his first WTT Star Contender singles trophy.
Zhu Yuling came from two games down to defeat Hitomi Sato 5-11, 11-13, 11-7, 11-6, 11-6, 11-5 in the WTT Star Contender Doha women's final. The win followed her WTT Champions title at the same Lusail venue one week earlier.
Zhou Qihao claimed the men's singles title, his first at WTT Star Contender level and first WTT Series success since 2023. The six-day event also included men's, women's and mixed doubles, broadening the competitive field beyond the singles-only Champions format.
