Konami confirmed on 15 October that the FIFAe World Cup 2026 scheduled to begin in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on 16 October had been postponed. The announcement appeared on the official eFootball site and said further information would be supplied when the arrangements were confirmed. It did not provide a replacement start date or identify a new host venue.

The notice separates the postponed tournament from the game's continuing online activity. Konami said the related in-game events and special login present were still available. Their availability does not mean that the national-team competition in Jeddah is going ahead. The postponement concerns the scheduled tournament, not an announcement that all associated online activity has been cancelled.

The official competition guide describes a FIFA-organised national-team tournament using two-versus-two matches in console and mobile categories, with member associations selecting their representatives. Reuters separately corroborated the postponement within the wider FIFAe Finals programme. That report is not used to imply that Konami supplied a detailed security assessment. No revised timetable is treated as confirmed, and the postponed fixtures are not reported as completed competition.
