Zheng Qinwen defeated Mirra Andreeva 7–5, 6–4 in the China Open women’s singles final in Beijing on 11 October 2026, becoming the first Chinese player to win the tournament’s singles title.

The wildcard saved three set points at 4–5 in the opening set, then won the final 11 points of the set. She broke late in the second and completed the straight-sets victory in one hour and 43 minutes.

The WTA recorded the championship as Zheng’s first WTA 1000 title and sixth tour-level singles trophy. Reuters independently corroborated the score, historic distinction and decisive sequence in both sets.
