The Olympic Council of Asia confirmed four newly elected Athletes Committee members on 3 October following voting at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games. Amir Maimuratov of Kazakhstan, Reem Al Sharshani of Qatar, Naoto Tobe of Japan and Thanyalak Chophibunsin of Thailand joined the committee for its 2026–2030 term.

The election drew 5,215 votes between 20 September and 2 October. Nine candidates contested four regional positions. The OCA Executive Board also nominated India’s Rajeshwari Kumari to represent South Asia; her appointment is separate from the four elected seats.

Chair Ding Ning welcomed the representatives at an introductory meeting in Nagoya. The committee discussed athlete engagement, communication with National Olympic Committees and initiatives responding to athletes’ needs. These are confirmed representation changes and stated priorities; the announcement did not establish a new competition rule or a completed policy programme.
