The International Testing Agency reported that an out-of-competition sample collected from Uzbekistan rugby player Umar Usmonov on 27 September returned an adverse analytical finding for a metabolite of drostanolone, a non-specified substance prohibited at all times.

Usmonov was informed and provisionally suspended with immediate effect while the case is resolved under the World Anti-Doping Code and OCA Anti-Doping Rules. The temporary measure prevents participation in competition, training, coaching or other Asian Games activity.

The announcement does not constitute a final finding of an anti-doping rule violation. Usmonov may challenge the provisional suspension before the CAS Anti-Doping Division and request B-sample analysis; any wider sanction or disqualification requires a later confirmed decision.
