World Climbing confirms its 2027 calendar and expanded Para season
Brno’s championships form part of the LA28 pathway; six major Para events are planned.
World Climbing announced its 2027 international programme on 30 September. The 13-stop Series runs from Tokyo in April to Paris in September, with Manchester bringing the circuit back to Great Britain for the first time since 2022.
Brno, Czechia, will stage the World Climbing Championships from 13 to 22 August. The event forms part of Olympic qualification, while eligible Para sport classes will have their first opportunity there to qualify for LA28.
Five Para Series stops and the Brno championships make six major international Para events, the federation’s largest such season. India will also host the Youth Championships for the first time, in Jamshedpur from 21 to 28 November. These are confirmed calendar plans, not completed results.
