United States win a third straight Para triathlon mixed relay world title
Kendall Gretsch, Carson Clough, Grace Norman and Owen Cravens, guided by Kevin McDowell, won in Pontevedra ahead of Australia and Brazil.
The United States won the Para Triathlon Mixed Relay World Championship in Pontevedra for a third consecutive year. Kendall Gretsch, Carson Clough, Grace Norman and Owen Cravens formed the winning quartet, with Kevin McDowell guiding Cravens on the final leg.
Cravens began the last leg 90 seconds behind France but joined Australia and Brazil before the final transition and moved into the lead on the closing 800-metre run. Australia earned silver and Brazil took bronze, three seconds ahead of France.
