Germany and Norway drew 22–22 in Rijeka on 25 January at the Men’s EHF EURO 2000. Germany led 11–10 at half-time, but Norway won the second half 12–11 to secure a shared result. The point was Norway’s first of the competition; Germany had previously drawn with Ukraine before losing to Croatia and France.
How it unfolded
Bernd Roos scored 11 goals, exactly half Germany’s total, and Frank von Behren added three. Johnny Jensen led Norway with seven and Stig Rasch supplied six, together contributing 13 of Norway’s 22. Germany converted seven of eight seven-metre throws, compared with Norway’s four from five. The EHF match record lists an attendance of 2,000.

The draw left both national teams outside the contest for the group’s semi-final places. Germany finished its preliminary schedule against Spain on 27 January, while Norway faced Ukraine.
