A straight-games victory over Kennedy gave the American her 23rd PSA title.
Source publication date:
Amanda Sobhy won the Cincinnati Gaynor Cup by defeating top seed Georgina Kennedy 11-8, 11-2, 11-7. The American completed the Silver-event final in 32 minutes, collecting the 23rd PSA title of her career and her second trophy at the tournament.
Sobhy opened the first game with a 6-1 lead before Kennedy levelled at 6-6. She regained control to take the opener, then built another early advantage in the second game and maintained it as her variety of shots stretched the English player.
The third game also favoured Sobhy, who converted her first championship opportunity at 10-7. The result repeated her straight-games final victory over Kennedy at the German Open in March 2025.
