Arsenal regain league momentum with four goals at Leeds
Zubimendi, Madueke, Gyokeres and Jesus secured the away victory.
Source publication date:
Arsenal beat Leeds United 4-0 at Elland Road to claim their first Premier League victory in four matches. The result restored a six-point lead at the top of the table after a recent run of dropped points.
Noni Madueke replaced Bukayo Saka after an injury during the warm-up and supplied Martin Zubimendi’s opening header. A corner from Madueke produced the second goal, with the league subsequently crediting the winger rather than an own goal.
Viktor Gyokeres added a third in the 69th minute, ending a six-game league scoring drought. Substitute Gabriel Jesus completed the scoring late on. Leeds remained 16th, six points above the relegation places, after struggling to create sustained attacking pressure.
