Asal and ElSherbini win Windy City Open finals
The men’s champion won in straight games while ElSherbini saved championship balls before recovering.

Mostafa Asal and Nour ElSherbini won the Windy City Open titles in Chicago after contrasting championship matches. Asal defeated Paul Coll in straight games, while ElSherbini recovered from two games down against Amina Orfi in the women’s final of the Platinum event.
ElSherbini saved two championship balls in the third game before winning 9-11, 10-12, 13-11, 11-5, 11-8. The 86-minute contest secured her third Windy City crown, twentieth major title and 46th career PSA trophy.
Asal beat Coll 11-5, 12-10, 11-7 in 83 minutes despite a lengthy injury pause during the second game. His victory was a twentieth consecutive straight-games win and his fifth title of the season.
