Augsburg came from behind to beat Bayern Munich 2-1 and end the leaders’ unbeaten Bundesliga run. Hiroki Ito had put Bayern ahead in the 23rd minute, heading in Michael Olise’s corner during a strong opening period for the hosts.
The visitors improved after half-time and Arthur Chaves equalised with a header in the 75th minute. Han-Noah Massengo then converted Dimitrios Giannoulis’ cutback six minutes later to complete the turnaround in the Bavarian derby.
Bayern pushed for a late response, with goalkeeper Finn Dahmen making saves and Tom Bischof striking the post. Augsburg nevertheless held on, while Bayern’s official report recorded the leaders on fifty points from nineteen matches following their first league loss of the campaign.
