Paralympics Australia finalised its Milano Cortina team with fourteen members, including two sighted guides. The alpine announcement completed a squad that would contest Para alpine skiing, snowboard, biathlon and cross-country skiing, giving Australia representation in a record four Winter Paralympic sports.

Snowboarder Sean Pollard was named captain. The selection included Amanda Reid, set to become Australia’s first Indigenous Winter Paralympian, and Lauren Parker, who would add a Winter appearance to her Summer Paralympic career. Para Nordic participation returned after a twenty-year absence.

Michael Milton earned selection for a comeback at fifty-two, while sixteen-year-old alpine skier Liana France would become Australia’s youngest female Winter Paralympian. Eight team members, including the guides, were selected for their first Paralympic Games.
