Mahammad Muradli won his third Azerbaijani championship and Ulviyya Fataliyeva her first as the national knockout tournaments concluded in Baku. The competitions ran from 6 to 22 February, using two classical games per match with tiebreaks when required.

Muradli defeated Shakhriyar Mamedyarov in the open final. After drawing the first game, he won the second to settle the match without a tiebreak. Aydin Suleymanli claimed bronze by winning both games against Read Samadov.

Fataliyeva and seventh seed Ayan Allahverdiyeva exchanged classical wins before Fataliyeva prevailed in the tiebreak. Allahverdiyeva’s run had included eliminating defending champion Gunay Mammadzada. Gulnar Mammadova took the women’s bronze after a 1.5–0.5 victory over Turkan Mammadyarova.
