Charlotte Bankes won the second women’s snowboard cross World Cup in Erzurum through a photo finish against Lea Casta. Noemie Wiedmer earned her first podium in her thirteenth individual start, while Bankes recorded her twenty-seventh career victory despite wind, fresh snow and a delayed beginning to racing.

Bankes passed Wiedmer before Casta regained the lead near the finish. Greater speed over the closing jumps allowed the British rider to respond at the line, although Casta retained an eleven-point season advantage with three races remaining before the final overall title was settled.

Aidan Chollet won the men’s final ahead of Leon Ulbricht and younger brother Jonas. Adam Lambert finished fifth and retained a three-point overall lead, while the brothers shared a second podium of the season.
