Barcelona beat Athletic Club 5-0 in the Spanish Super Cup semi-final. Four goals arrived inside the opening 38 minutes as Hansi Flick’s team secured a place in the final scheduled for the following Sunday in Jeddah.
Ferran Torres opened the scoring after 22 minutes, finishing a move involving Fermín López. Fermín then converted Raphinha’s delivery before Roony Bardghji added the third. Raphinha scored twice to complete the five-goal victory.
The official club report described the score as the competition’s biggest winning margin. Athletic goalkeeper Unai Simón had made early saves, but Barcelona’s attacking sequence removed much of the uncertainty before the interval and carried them into another trophy decider.
