Raphinha double brings Barcelona a 16th Spanish Super Cup

Barcelona retained the Spanish Super Cup with a 3-2 victory over Real Madrid. Raphinha scored twice, including the decisive goal in the 73rd minute, as the Catalan club increased its record haul in the competition to 16 titles.
The teams reached half-time at 2-2 following three goals during first-half added time. Vinícius Júnior equalised Raphinha’s opener, Robert Lewandowski restored Barcelona’s advantage and Gonzalo García brought Madrid level again before the break.
Barcelona finished with ten players after Frenkie de Jong was sent off. Joan García made late saves from Álvaro Carreras and Raúl Asencio to protect the lead, while Ronald Araujo returned to action and lifted the trophy for the winners.
