Barcelona Women overcome Alhama’s resistance
Clàudia Pina and Caroline Graham Hansen scored as Patri Guijarro returned from a long injury absence.
Source publication date:
Barcelona Women won 2-0 at Alhama after working through a compact home defence. The visitors controlled possession but needed patience and two carefully constructed goals to secure the league points rather than a high-scoring victory.
Clàudia Pina made the breakthrough in the 22nd minute, controlling Kika Nazareth’s corner before finishing for her 14th goal of the season. Caroline Graham Hansen doubled the lead in the 72nd minute after another Kika delivery was directed back into her path.
The closing stages also brought a significant return for Barcelona’s midfield. Patri Guijarro entered in the 80th minute for her first action since mid-October, ending a three-month injury absence as the team completed a clean sheet away from home.
