Bayern open their Bundesliga year with eight goals
Michael Olise scored twice in an 8-1 victory over Wolfsburg.

Bayern Munich beat Wolfsburg 8-1 in their first competitive match of the year, extending their Bundesliga advantage. The game was only 2-1 at half-time before Bayern added six goals during a dominant second-half performance.
Kilian Fischer’s own goal opened the scoring, Dženan Pejčinović equalised and Luis Díaz restored Bayern’s lead. Michael Olise then scored twice, with another own goal from Moritz Jenz and finishes by Raphaël Guerreiro, Harry Kane and Leon Goretzka completing the total.
Olise’s second goal came on his fiftieth Bundesliga appearance, while Felipe Chávez made his senior debut as a substitute. The club’s report placed Bayern on 44 points from sixteen matches, eleven clear of Borussia Dortmund after the emphatic home result.
