Belgium’s second-half performance overcomes Argentina
Australia’s men stayed unbeaten and Argentina’s women continued their winning run.
Source publication date:
Belgium’s men used a strong second-half performance to defeat Argentina as Pro League competition continued in Rourkela. The result formed part of a day split between India and Hobart, where the Australian and Argentine teams also maintained productive runs.
Australia’s men defeated Pakistan 3–0 in Tasmania, giving them three wins from three at the home stage. Blake Govers helped create the opening goal in the fourteenth minute as the hosts controlled the tempo and repeatedly challenged the visiting defence.
Argentina’s women were made to work for their victory over an improving Ireland side. The official report brought these results together as the February programme progressed, distinguishing Belgium’s second-half success from Australia’s shutout and the competitive women’s encounter in the other stage.
