FIS education manager Cornelia Blank explained how integrity shapes the federation’s revised learning pathways in a new interview. She described an online applicant phase before in-person seminars, intended to give prospective officials common foundations despite differences in national training systems and previous technical experience.

The preparation period offers around three months for candidates to learn, ask questions and exchange information through Moodle. A dedicated integrity module covers safe and fair sport, while a common code of conduct creates clearer expectations across disciplines, including para snow sports roles.

Blank also emphasised readable materials and accessibility across languages and backgrounds. She said practical discussions about communication, boundaries and behaviour under pressure could make integrity education more effective than relying on general warnings alone.
