Brest and CSM clinch quarter-final places as Gros reaches one thousand goals
The women’s Champions League group B finale combined qualification decisions with a scoring milestone.
Source publication date:
Brest and CSM Bucuresti secured direct women’s Champions League quarter-final entry during the final round of group B. Brest defeated Krim in Ljubljana, while CSM produced a convincing victory over Ikast to complete the group’s top-two qualification decisions.
Ana Gros reached one thousand Champions League goals during Brest’s win, joining the competition’s small group of players at that mark. The milestone came in her home country against the club where she began her senior European career.
FTC defeated Odense in the round’s featured match, leaving both teams to enter the play-offs rather than advance directly. Sola ended their first Champions League season with a maiden victory, beating a Podravka squad that travelled with only twelve players because of injuries.
