British judoka recorded ten top-seven finishes across the Sarajevo Junior and Rome Cadet European Cups. The performances provided early-season international experience, although the teams finished without medals after several athletes reached the latter stages or advanced through the repechage.

Eva Ewing and Nicole Wood finished fifth in Sarajevo, while David Gheorghiu, Daisy Hodgkinson and Lenny Tancock took seventh places. Tancock’s three wins represented his best Junior European Cup result in only his second appearance at that level.

In Rome, Reece Blackshaw, Katrina Davis, Maisie Broadley, Luka Abashidze and Maisie Shattock finished seventh. Several achieved personal-best placings, with Davis making her cadet debut and Broadley negotiating two golden-score contests that lasted a combined fourteen minutes before her eventual elimination.
