Azam recover to win as Chiefs prevail in Ndola
A late own goal decided Azam’s match, while Pule Mmodi’s early strike earned Kaizer Chiefs three points.

Azam beat Nairobi United 2-1 and Kaizer Chiefs won 1-0 at Zesco United in CAF Confederation Cup action. Both results kept the victors involved in the group-stage race for places in the quarter-finals.
Nairobi United opened the scoring through Dancan Omala in the 13th minute before Jephté Kitambala quickly equalised. Azam’s winning goal arrived in the 78th minute when Himid Mao’s shot hit the post and the rebound deflected in off goalkeeper Ernest Mohammed.
Chiefs took their lead after only two minutes at Ndola’s Levy Mwanawasa Stadium. Pule Mmodi finished following a corner, and Brandon Petersen’s goalkeeping helped protect the advantage as Zesco increased pressure and created opportunities throughout the remaining contest.
