Source publication date:
A refereeing and coaching seminar was held in Casablanca on 22 January, before the city’s junior, cadet and senior judo competitions. Thirty-six participants attended the session led by Ababacar Ngom, Khaled Anwar and Jean-Claude Djimbi.
The programme addressed recent clarifications to IJF rules, including consistent interpretation of the yuko score. Bringing coaches and referees together aimed to improve shared understanding before competition began.
The competitions were scheduled from 23 to 25 January. The IJF report listed 150 cadet entries from 26 countries, 170 junior entries from 30 countries and 365 senior entries from 45 countries. Those figures described entries, while the seminar was a completed education event.
