Chile, Australia and Japan complete Santiago women's semi-final field

Chile, Australia and Japan secured the remaining women's semi-final places at the Santiago World Cup qualifier. Japan defeated Malaysia 4–0, Australia beat Switzerland 3–0 and host Chile overcame France 1–0 as pool competition concluded.
Shiho Kobayakawa scored twice for Japan during a decisive second half. Neasa Flynn also contributed two for Australia, which recovered from its previous defeat, while Josefa Salas's early penalty corner deflection gave Chile the lead it protected against France.
Ireland finished first in Pool B with a 5–1 victory over Canada. Sarah Torrans scored twice as Ireland recovered from conceding first and added five unanswered goals. The completed standings established the women's knockout matches, with the next wins carrying World Cup qualification.
