Paul Coll defeated Jonah Bryant 11–3, 11–9, 11–6 in the Australian Open semifinals. The top seed needed fifty-three minutes at South Bank Piazza to reach his eighth final of the 2025–2026 PSA season, continuing his pursuit of a second title at the event.

Coll entered with three wins from three tour meetings against his training partner. He established control in the opening game, but Bryant used height and attacking shots to stay level through 9–9 in the second. Coll then won the two decisive points for a two-game lead.

The New Zealander’s pressure on the volley limited Bryant’s time in the third, and he converted his second match ball. Coll said familiarity with Bryant’s competitiveness in training helped keep him focused even when ahead, while praising the support for tournaments in New Zealand and Australia.
