Gabriel Davidson won Haiti’s open national championship, and Rose Berline Seine took the women’s title. The tournaments were held from December 20 to 28, with twelve players in each section contesting an eleven-round classical round robin.

Davidson finished unbeaten on nine and a half points, conceding only three draws. Seine produced an even more emphatic result by winning all eleven games, and she had already secured the championship with a round still remaining.

Play began at Hotel Montana before moving to Villa Saint Viateur. Beyond deciding the national titles, the competitions established Haiti’s Olympiad teams: the leading five players from each section earned places for the tournament scheduled in Samarkand in September 2026.
