Jessie Diggins won the women’s 20km classic pursuit in Toblach, leading throughout and finishing 1:35.2 ahead of Moa Ilar. It was the American’s twenty-eighth individual World Cup victory and her eighth at the Italian venue where she had first won in 2016.

Ilar worked with Teresa Stadlober during the chase before edging the Austrian for second. Diggins established a substantial advantage in the opening three laps and could conserve some energy over the final two without surrendering control.

Toblach organisers also surprised Diggins by naming a stadium bridge in her honour. Racing in her final season before retirement, she carried a strong Tour de Ski advantage into the remaining sprint and final-climb stages in Val di Fiemme.
