Domen Prevc won the second men’s World Cup contest in Sapporo with 277.7 points, completing a weekend double. The Slovenian held a 5.2-point advantage after the first round and maintained the lead despite an unsettled second jump.
Ryoyu Kobayashi finished second before the home crowd, while Daniel Tschofenig took third. Manuel Fettner continued his encouraging late-career form with fourth place, following a podium finish in Zakopane the previous week.
Prevc acknowledged a technical mistake in the final round but recovered in flight and landed safely. His ninth World Cup victory of the season extended the overall standings advantage to 467 points before the athletes turned their attention to the Ski Flying World Championships in Oberstdorf.
