Germany defeated Norway 30–28 in Herning to remain the sole leaders of European Championship main-round group I on six points. Andreas Wolff made twenty-two saves as Germany recovered from a difficult opening and secured a result that left Norway on two points.
Norway initially built a four-goal advantage and led 17–15 at half-time after the teams repeatedly exchanged momentum. Germany erased another three-goal deficit after the restart, with Wolff’s work keeping them close enough to mount a sustained late challenge.
Marko Grgić scored four unanswered goals midway through the second half and finished with seven. That scoring run opened a five-goal advantage with eleven minutes remaining, while Wolff received the match award for the decisive goalkeeping performance.
