Kuzmanovski’s fifteen goals help North Macedonia draw with Portugal

North Macedonia and Portugal drew 29–29 in Herning in their second European Championship group B match. It was the first draw between the countries, keeping both in the main-round race while Portugal remained better placed because of their opening victory.
Portugal recovered from an early two-goal deficit to lead 15–13 at half-time, with Francisco Costa converting a late penalty. They maintained a narrow second-half advantage and at one stage moved four goals clear, but North Macedonia continued to respond.
Filip Kuzmanovski scored fifteen goals and provided five assists, earning the match award. Martin Tomovski’s introduction in goal strengthened the Macedonian recovery, and two saves in the closing minute secured the point; Costa finished with eleven goals.
