Portugal and Norway drew 35–35 in Herning in their third European Championship main-round match. Their first draw in an official meeting left both teams on three points, below Germany, France and Denmark, weakening their positions in the contest for semi-final qualification.

Norway led 18–17 at half-time after Patrick Anderson scored eight goals before the break. Portugal stayed close through Luís Frade’s line play and then recovered from a three-goal second-half deficit as goalkeeper Diogo Valério improved.

Frade finished with eleven goals and the match award, while August Pedersen scored ten for Norway. In the final minute, Torbjørn Bergerud stopped Martim Costa’s attempt and Valério saved from Simen Lyse, preserving the draw.
