EHF postpones both Greece–Israel women's qualifiers
Travel and security conditions prevented plans to play the two matches together in Greece.
Source publication date:
EHF called off the Women's EURO qualifier scheduled between Greece and Israel in Kozani on 8 March. The decision followed the earlier postponement of the reverse fixture in Rishon-Le-Zion, leaving both scheduled group encounters suspended until further notice.
The federation had discussed playing both matches over two days in Greece with the Greek and Israeli national federations. That option was examined while officials monitored the Middle East situation, particularly its consequences for travel arrangements and the safety of participating teams and officials.
EHF said regional developments ultimately prevented the alternative plan from proceeding. The two matches would be handled through a separate rescheduling procedure at a later date, with no replacement dates or venues confirmed in the announcement of the postponements.
