Source publication date:
Serbia defeated Germany 30–27 in Herning to keep their European Championship main-round hopes alive. Both teams stood on two points behind Spain after the result, leaving the final preliminary fixtures to decide the two qualifying places from group A.
Germany led 17–13 at half-time, but Serbia tightened their defence and converted turnovers into counterattacking goals after the restart. Dejan Milosavljev made twelve saves, helping Serbia recover and forcing the match into a series of late changes of momentum.
A German timeout cancelled a potential equaliser in the closing minutes, and Serbia seized the opportunity to move clear. Uroš Kojadinović and Vukašin Vorkapić scored six each, while Stefan Dodić received the player-of-the-match award.
