Hungary recover seven goals to draw with Switzerland

Hungary and Switzerland drew 29–29 in Malmö to earn their first points in the European Championship main round. Switzerland appeared firmly in control for almost forty minutes, but Hungary’s recovery transformed the match and left both sides with one point.
Switzerland led 20–14 at half-time and later moved seven goals clear at 25–18. Hungary then kept their opponents scoreless for seven minutes, closed the gap and eventually moved ahead 29–28 in the fifty-eighth minute.
Mehdi Ben Romdhane equalised for Switzerland, while Hungary failed to score from their final possession. Kristóf Palasics received the match award after fourteen saves; the draw gave Switzerland their first main-round point in European Championship history.
