Ukraine and France finished 26–46 in Bærum.
Source publication date:
France defeated Ukraine 46–26 in Bærum to set national European Championship records for both goals scored and winning margin. Their twenty-goal victory surpassed the fifteen-goal margin achieved against Slovenia in 2002 and improved the scoring mark set against Czechia two days earlier.
Ukraine competed effectively early and briefly led, but France transformed the match after a timeout. A strong defensive spell limited Ukraine to two goals across the final seventeen minutes of the first half, creating a twelve-goal advantage at the interval.
Twelve French players scored, with Melvyn Richardson, Benoît Kounkoud and Dylan Nahi contributing six each. France moved to four group C points; Ukraine remained without a point before their final match against Czechia.
