Eight nations complete the men's world championship play-off field
Türkiye overturned a first leg deficit against Romania as European qualification moved into its final phase.

Eight teams advanced from the second European qualification phase for the 2027 men's World Championship. Slovakia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Serbia, Israel, Greece, Türkiye and Poland joined twelve previously qualified teams in the final play-off field.
Türkiye produced the decisive comeback, following a five goal first leg defeat with a 37–31 win in Romania. Doruk Pehlivan and Eyüp Arda Yildiz scored ten each, and Koray Ayar's last second goal secured a one goal aggregate victory.
Israel also progressed by one goal, surviving a 30–28 second leg loss to Georgia. Slovakia edged Ukraine by two on aggregate, while Serbia recorded the largest margin at plus twenty-six. The next ties were scheduled for two legs in mid-May.
