Mia Enderby scored twice in stoppage time as Liverpool defeated Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 for their first Women’s Super League victory of the season. The substitute broke the deadlock at St Helens Stadium after the hosts had repeatedly struck the woodwork.

Alice Bergstrom hit the crossbar early on and later the post, while Ceri Holland also hit a post with a free-kick. Liverpool goalkeeper Jennifer Falk prevented Tottenham from scoring when she denied Signe Gaupset in a one-on-one.

Enderby met Jenna Clark’s cross with an improvised finish in the fourth added minute. Immediately after the restart, she took advantage of a Tottenham mistake to run through and score again, securing Gareth Taylor’s team three points.
