England and India women qualify after Hyderabad semi-final wins
England defeated Scotland 2–0 and India edged Italy 1–0 to reach the qualifier final.

England and India secured women's World Cup qualification by winning their semi-finals in Hyderabad. England beat Scotland 2–0, while India defeated Italy 1–0, setting up a final between two teams still unbeaten in the tournament.
Lottie Bingham and Darcy Bourne scored England's goals in the second quarter. India relied on Manisha Chauhan's fortieth minute penalty corner strike, with goalkeeper Bichu Devi protecting the narrow lead when Italy threatened late in the match.
The losing semi-finalists were left to contest third place and the last direct World Cup berth from Hyderabad. Elsewhere in the same day's programme, Wales recovered to beat Korea 2–1 through Beth Bingham's two goals, and Uruguay defeated Austria 3–0 to enter the fifth place match.
