England and Pakistan men secure Ismailia semi-final spots on second day
Pakistan recovered to beat Malaysia 5–3, while England defeated Egypt 3–0.

England and Pakistan secured men's World Cup qualifier semi-final places on the second matchday in Ismailia. Pakistan defeated Malaysia 5–3 after falling two goals behind, while England beat host Egypt 3–0 to maintain its strong start.
Waheed Rana helped initiate Pakistan's recovery and was named player of the match. Pakistan levelled before half-time, responded again after Malaysia regained the lead, and moved ahead through Sufyan Khan before Muhammad Ammad added the fifth goal.
Japan collected its first points with a 4–0 victory over the United States. Austria and China drew 1–1, with Moritz Frey giving Austria the lead and Benhai Chen equalising from a penalty corner. The final pool round would determine the remaining semi-final teams and their positions.
