England completed an unbeaten women's World Cup qualifying tournament in Hyderabad by defeating India 2–0 in the final. Grace Balsdon scored from a penalty corner and Elizabeth Neal added the second, leaving the hosts with silver and their first loss of the event.

Scotland earned the remaining direct qualification place with a 1–0 bronze match victory over Italy. Amy Costello's early penalty corner goal proved decisive, securing Scotland's first World Cup appearance since 2002 and also confirming Japan's place as the highest ranked fourth finisher.

Uruguay defeated Wales 3–0 to finish fifth, while Austria took seventh after a shootout against Korea. The final also marked India captain Salima Tete's hundred and fiftieth senior appearance.
