The IIHF confirmed Esbjerg as the second host city for the 2026 Women's World Championship, joining previously announced Herning. Denmark's tournament was scheduled for 6–16 November, bringing ten national teams to the two hockey arenas.

Esbjerg was assigned Group A, featuring the United States, Czechia, Switzerland, Germany and Austria. Canada, Finland, Sweden, Japan and host Denmark were placed in Group B, with their preliminary matches to be played in Herning.

Herning was also designated to stage the final round. Local organising committee chairman Henrik Bach Nielsen welcomed the confirmation of both venues, while the federation said further schedule and ticket information would follow. The March announcement therefore established the host arrangement and team distribution ahead of the autumn championship.
